The Butterfly Sanctuary is a popular tourist destination in Rancho Mirage, California. It's a beautiful outdoor garden that contains hundreds of different butterfly species. The garden is accessible every day from 9am to 4pm and costs nothing to visit.

The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens is another popular attraction in the area. This zoo has dozens of different species of animals from all over the world, including giraffes, elephants, zebras and more. 

Every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the park is open to visitors for $20 per head over the age of 18 and $15 per head for children between the ages of three and eleven.

One of the nicest aspects about living in the California desert is being able to enjoy a number of great outdoor activities, such as hiking and sports. The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway travels through some of the most spectacular scenery you'll ever see.

The Observation Tower is a high-speed ride that takes guests to 8,000 feet in an hour or more. There are several hiking trails throughout the region, and it is accessible all year and especially fun in winter for snow play.

The Rancho Mirage Civic Center is a frequent venue for special events, such as seasonal concerts and festivals. The Good Guys Car Show is held every spring at the fairgrounds, while the Art Affair 3rd Annual takes place in Uptown Palm Springs.
