Welcome back, desert friends!

September is that wonderful in-between time here in the Coachella Valley. The calendar says fall is coming, the thermometer may have a slightly different opinion, and little by little our desert communities are beginning to come alive again.

Seasonal residents are returning, golf courses are preparing for another busy season, favorite restaurants are filling up again, and familiar faces are showing up around the neighborhood.

And here at Marvelous Desert Homes, we're kicking off the season with something new — or perhaps we should say, something more Marvelous.

What You’ll Find in the Journal

The Marvelous Desert Journal is our way of sharing a little more of the place we’re fortunate enough to call home.

Each month, we’ll bring you useful real estate information without all the jargon, updates on what’s happening in the local market, spotlights on our wonderful desert communities, homeowner tips, and a few ideas for simply enjoying life here in the Coachella Valley.

Some months we’ll talk houses. Some months we’ll talk golf, restaurants, events, neighborhoods and the people who make our valley special. And every once in a while, we may just talk about something because it’s fun!

Real Estate — Without the Crystal Ball

Of course, real estate will always be an important part of the Journal. Markets change, interest rates change, inventory changes — and sometimes the headlines make things sound considerably more complicated than they really are.

Our goal is simple: tell you what we’re seeing here in the desert, explain what it might mean for homeowners, buyers and sellers, and leave the crystal-ball predictions to somebody else.

More Than Real Estate

Because living in the Coachella Valley is about a whole lot more than buying and selling homes.

It’s morning golf with the mountains in the background. It’s dinner on the patio when the evenings finally cool down. It’s reconnecting with friends who have returned for the season. And yes, it’s remembering why we put up with those August electric bills. 😎
